Turkey, Malaysia and Pakistan to establish joint Islamic Channel

The AKP government will establish a joint TV channel with Pakistan and Malaysia broadcasting in English.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammed and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan held a trilateral meeting in New York, where they were part of the 74th UN General Assembly.

Prime Minister Khan,  in his post on the meeting he shared on social media said, “President Erdogan, Prime Minister Mahathir and I today held a meeting. We decided to establish a channel in English language to tackle Islamophobia to correct misunderstandings about  Islam’.


Khan argued that the misperceptions about Muslims will be corrected in this way. “Films and serials will be produced about the history of Muslims to inform and educate people, and a special media for Muslims will be created,” he said.
