In Austria, US citizens seeking help with their lost passport or travel support can now get help from fast-food chain McDonald’s.
The US Embassy in Vienna announced on Monday that an agreement was signed with McDonald’s in Austria last week.
According to US Ambassador to Vienna Trevor Traina, McDonald’s employees will help American tourists who need help to communicate with the embassy and report missing passports.
In the news first published on BBC Turkish, it was reported that some Facebook users called the new service ‘McPassport’ and ‘McVisa’. Some also questioned whether McDonald’s employees knew enough English to help US citizens.
