A number of schools were evacuated as a result of a bomb threat in the Diest, Westerlo and Aarschot municipalities of Belgium.

In the morning, the Antwerp fire brigade warned that a bomb would explode in a school in one of the three municipalities. The security forces asked the public to stay away from the regions.

All students were secured and the parents in the city were informed. Yumlu Serdar, a worried father who set out to pick up his children, said that he was worried about the situation and stated, ‘my three children attend two different schools. I got the message on WhatsApp with a brief warning in the text.’
