Sony and Microsoft partnering in a surprise move

In a surprise move, Sony and Microsoft made an announcement that they are going to cooperate on a number of projects to create better cloud services and content streaming.

Although the two console giants are fierce competitors in the area of console gaming, it seems both companies are ready more than ever to work together.

This teaming up will help Sony to deal with slow download speeds better, and will provide gamers with some more ironed out and efficient streaming experiences, as with Playstation Now.

In the long run, Microsoft and Sony are also planning to create together a more advanced system similar to Kinect, which is good news for console players.
