US military moved several surrendered ISIS militants to its base

The US has moved hundreds of ISIS militants, who have surrendered their weapons, to its base at the Omar oilfield.

According to information from local sources in Deir al Zor, hundreds of ISIS militants trapped in a town in the east of the Euphrates River in Syria, laid down their arms. They were taken transported by coalition helicopters and were taken to the US base at Omar oilfield.


With the air support of the US and France’s artillery shots on land YPG had started their attacks on September 11, 2018 to remove ISIS from Deyr al Zor.

After taking the town of Hajin from ISIS in the east of Deyr ez Zor, the Democratic Syrian Forces (QSD) have turned to other towns in the district.

ISIS at the present only has presence in Bagoz in the eastern countryside of Deir ez Zor province.
