Mohamed Salah’s agent called The Sun newspaper a “disgrace” after a scandalous front page.
The newspaper published a remark regarding the England v Colombia last 32 knock out game on their cover. The cover read: “As 3 Lions face nation that gave world Shakira, great coffee and er, other stuff, we say..
“GO KANE!” Readers were angry that the front pageassociated Colombia with a drug, cocaine, and called for boycotting the newspaper.
Twitter users sent messages to the Sun, saying that this was a “pathetic, disrespectful and embarrassing dig” at Colombia.
Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah’s agent, posted: “The cover of the @TheSun about Colombia is a disgrace… but true to form. It’s a paper not even worthy of being trampled on.”
The front page appeared only one day after Mo Salah signed a new five year contract with Liverpool FC.
