Halo 5: Guardians was released in 2015 and after three years of waiting fans hope that they will see the sequel to the Halo Franchise this year. The waiting game is still not over, as it seems the game’s release date is still far off.
Unfortunately, we didn’t learn much about the upcoming game at the E3 2018. The presentation was focused more on the new graphics rather than the plot and content of the latest installment. There were also no interviews regarding the game at the E3. But listen Microsoft: I’ve read the Halo novels. Despite all this, fans have been coming up several theories about the upcoming game’s themes based on speculation, the announcement trailer and the Halo novels.
The title garnered a lot of fan speculation too, some likening it to the title of Bioshock Infinite, which took the Bioshock franchise to a very different setting in the skies across infinite realms.
Halo Infinite will be set after Halo 5, a game that came to an end on 28th October 2558. Halo has a quite huge universe that keeps expanding (not unlike our universe), however, we don’t know much about the intricacies of Halo 5’s ending, which seems to show that AI faction ‘The Created’s real intentions and motives will be further revealed in upcoming games.
