The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a photograph taken on the christening of Prince Louis, with Prince Louis smiling peacefully.
This is the first time the prince was caught on camera smiling, as the baby prince is still 11 weeks old. The picture was taken at Clarence house, and the photographer was Mr Holyoak who takes the official photographs of the family.
The photo was going to go to the family’s album only, but they later decided to make it public for everyone to see.
“Their Royal Highnesses hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do,” a spokesman for the royal couple said.
The family’s private photographer added: “I was truly honoured at being asked to take the official photographs at the christening of Prince Louis, and to witness at first hand such a happy event. Everyone was so relaxed and in such good spirits, it was an absolute pleasure. I only hope I have captured some of that joy in my photographs.”
