In Indonesia, a man was mauled to death by a crocodile at a farm in Papua province.
The man was gathering grass for his livestock, on the grounds of a crocodile breeding farm, when he was attacked by a crocodile.
After the man’s funeral, the relatives of the deceased went to the local police station to complain about the location of the breeding farm, which was in a crowded residential area. The police told the angry family and friends of the deceased man that the breeder and owner of the farm was going to pay compensation for the death of the 45 year old man.
The mob then went on to attack and kill around 300 crocodiles in a move to take revenge for the life of the man killed by a crocodile. Bystanders came to see the bloody pile of lifeless crocodiles lying on the grass.
The police may seek to place criminal charges on the ones involved in the mass killing of the animals. Indonesia is home to a huge variety of flora and fauna, and crocodiles in the area are known to periodically attack humans.
